About the Meme
“Om Nom Nom Nom” or sometimes just “Nom Nom Nom” is onomatopoeia-based internet slang to illustrate that someone is eating. Used primarily in image macros (or as we like to call them, “teh lolz”), it is most popular with the lolcats. It is widely accepted that the phrase is inspired by the sound that Sesame Street denizen Cookie Monster makes as he devours a handful of tasty treats.
